A new rooftop bar is coming to London just in time for summer

As summer is on the horizon, there is nowhere better than sipping cocktails and watching the world go by than on a rooftop in the capital.

Sunnier days seem to be on the way, and a new rooftop bar is set to come to one of London’s nicest areas. Coming to Bloomsbury, and being touted as its first rooftop bar, Arcus is set on one of Central London’s largest rooftops, with guests being given the chance to enjoy near 360-degree views of London’s skyline.

Overlooking Russell Square, Arcus will be a modern destination with views stretching from the City and St Paul’s Cathedral to the London Eye and the British Museum. Located on the roof of the Imperial Hotel in Bloomsbury, the new venue is set to make a splash in the capital.

It will be a 324-seat venue with high tables and a beautiful lounge. The rooftop will be designed to follow the sun’s path, with a vast, seasonally inspired menu of small plates and carefully curated mixed cocktails. An opening date has not been confirmed yet by the Arcus team, but summer 2026 has been given as the expected date, so it could be anytime soon.

It will be open to hotel guests and the public. Also, as London weather is always so unpredictable, there will be canopied areas to ensure all types of weather are covered.

Arcus will be priding itself on offering a rhythm of daily rituals that evolves as day becomes night. Featuring sunrise sound baths, live performances, and sun salutations, guests are invited to find connections – with their intentions, with the neighbourhood, and with the seasons.

There will be a carefully curated mix of textures blended with original art by artist Adam Ellis.

Imperial London Hotels is a family-run hospitality company that has welcomed guests to London since 1837. Now managed by the seventh generation of the same family, the company is based in Bloomsbury, where it operates eight hotels.

Arcus will be located at 61-66 Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London, WC1B 5BB.
