Next week is due to be a wet one after London struggled through soaring heatwave temperatures
London has suffered through its first heatwave of the year, coming much earlier than expected in mid-May. We’re not out of the woods yet, with tomorrow (Thursday, May 28) kicking off another, according to BBC Weather, with temperature highs between 28 and 30C.
Though this is much more temperate than Tuesday’s searing 35C heat, it’s still important to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
The end of this week and most of next week mark a change in London’s meteorlogical fortunes, according to the latest forecast. A cloudy Sunday will see temperatures dip back down to 23C, while Monday will kick-start a five-day-long streak of rainfall.
Those of you with gardens can celebrate, as it could rain every day from Monday to Friday. It’s important to note that BBC Weather provides a percentage likelihood of rain, with some days, like Tuesday, hovering at the lower end around the 25% mark, while a day like Thursday is almost guaranteed wet weather.
