As well as housing more than 330 individual departments offering high-end fashion, luxury accessories, fine jewellery, tech, and home goods, Harrods is also known for its iconic Food Halls
We all like to splash out on a nice breakfast now and again, however one foodie and influencer said he ‘couldn’t believe how much he spent‘ after buying his breakfast from Harrods recently. Harrods is the largest and most famous luxury department store in Europe, located on Brompton Road in the affluent neighbourhood of Knightsbridge, London. Spanning over one million square feet of retail space across seven floors, it is a world-renowned retail landmark that attracts over 15 million visitors every year.
As well as housing more than 330 individual departments offering high-end fashion, luxury accessories, fine jewellery, tech, and home goods, the store is also known for its iconic Food Halls.
These lavishly decorated rooms are famous for gourmet delicacies, artisan pastries, fresh seafood, and premium specialty gifts like loose-leaf teas and traditional shortbread.
Carmie Sellitto, who is known for his online food reviews, took to Instagram to share his breakfast Harrods trip with his 706,000 followers.
The influencer was seen filming himself, as he said: “Today, I’m buying breakfast from Harrods, so let’s see how much I spend.”
First, he selected some fresh orange juice and a watermelon juice too. Next, was collagen and magnesium sachets from brand Zooki, as Carmie says it helps him ‘feel alive’.
After that, the foodie selected some melon balls, which set him back £12, followed by Harrods’ viral gold croissant.
He also grabbed some date and cashew balls, which he said ‘thinks will be very tasty’, alongside a protein bar from brand Jade & Joy.
For his last item, Carmie grabbed a tomato and cream cheese pastry. He said decided already having a pastry, he wanted to try it as it was new.
After finishing his shopping, he declared: “I don’t want to get anything more, otherwise I won’t be hungry for lunch.
“So let’s go pay and find out how much I just spent.”
He then revealed the amount as the cash machine showed he owed £43.50.
The post racked up more than 19,000 likes, however, it seemed like many people thought the price for everything he got was quite reasonable.
One person exclaimed: “£43 for breakfast in Harrods, that’s pretty good price. The gold croissant alone was worth it!”
Another also agreed it was “affordable”, while a third asked: “That’s it? That would be $150 (£115) in the US bro.”
Others also pointed out he had got a lot of food for just one breakfast, as one person probed: “Breakfast?! That would last me all day! I don’t know how you stay so slim.”
While another added: “That was enough for 2-3 people.”
As well as the Food Hall, Harrods visitors can also dine in more than 20 restaurants, cafes, and bars inside the building, including boutique coffee bars, a sushi counter, and elegant afternoon tea rooms.
