The pop star is about to release her new album, Confessions II
Madonna is rumoured to be making a surprise appearance at Pride in London this Saturday (July 4). The superstar, 67, recently performed an impromptu set in the heart of New York City, courtesy of dating app Grindr, to mark Pride Month and her forthcoming album, Confessions II. Now, Madonna is expected to “cause absolute pandemonium” at the London Pride parade this weekend.
A source told The Sun: “Madonna is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and has been a very vocal campaigner for decades. Pride means so much to her and the London event happens the day after Confessions II is released.”
The source added: “Organisers are playing it by ear in case of any last-minute changes but as it stands, Madonna is primed to come out on the main stage. She isn’t going to be performing like she did in New York. It’s more her coming out, speaking to the crowd and then heading off.”
They continued: “They’re expecting absolute pandemonium if they pull it off. But it would be incredible for everyone going to the Pride event in London.”
Pride in London has been staging the capital’s flagship LGBTQ+ Pride parade and celebrations since 2013. The annual event attracts more than 1.8 million LGBTQ+ people and supporters to London’s streets, reports the Mirror.
The 2026 musical programme is scheduled to feature MNEK, who will headline the Trafalgar Square stage, alongside performances from Beth Ditto, plus a six-stage line-up showcasing artists and speakers from throughout the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.
The parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 4 2026, and will be free to attend.
Commencing at midday from Hyde Park Corner, the procession will travel along Piccadilly towards Piccadilly Circus. It will then continue southward down Haymarket, moving past Trafalgar Square, before reaching its endpoint on Whitehall.
Pride in London is encouraging attendees to invite someone from a different age group or area of the community to mark the power of varied voices coming together in unity. Those wishing to make a greater contribution can offer their time as volunteers with Pride in London to assist with grassroots projects year-round.
