Another Metropolitan Police officer has been dismissed following BBC Panorama’s undercover investigation into the force’s Charing Cross station.
PC Mason O’Connor was sacked after a hearing found he had breached standards of professional behaviour, relating to a comment he made to a female colleague, the Met said.
O’Connor was reported to a “proactive wider investigation” following the broadcast of the programme in October 2025 and he has become the 13th officer to be sacked since then, the force added.
Other officers who were covertly filmed for the documentary were seen calling for immigrants to be shot, boasting about excessive use of force and joking about rape and sexual assault.
Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said at the time that this behaviour was “totally unacceptable”.
A disciplinary panel on Tuesday heard that O’Connor had, while off-duty at a pub, told a female colleague that he hoped she would be raped on her way home.
He was found to have breached standards of professional behaviour for authority, respect and courtesy, equality and diversity, and discreditable conduct, the Met said.
As well as the 13 officers the Met has sacked, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said another two men, both former officers, had also been found to have committed gross misconduct.
The policing watchdog added it was still investigating the conduct of a further 15 officers or police staff in the wake of the Panorama film.
“This is one of our largest ever investigations in terms of the number of officers investigated,” said the IOPC’s Amanda Rowe.
“The sheer number of fast-tracked disciplinary proceedings show how seriously the IOPC and the Met, who held the misconduct hearings, are treating this matter,” she added.
