Three people have been arrested in connection, the Metropolitan Police said
An 18-year-old man is fighting for his life after a serious late-night assault outside a Sidcup restaurant. The teenager was reportedly attacked near Greek Meze 2 on Main Road at around 10.40pm yesterday (Friday, April 10).
Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene and rushed him to hospital in critical condition. The nature of his injuries has not been made public.
Three people – two men in their 40s and a 31-year-old woman – have since been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody as of this afternoon, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Officers believe a number of people witnessed the serious assault and ask them to come forward as a matter of urgency. Local residents have been told to expect an increased police presence as enquiries continue.
A large cordon remains in place more than 15 hours later, with police pictured guarding the blue-and-white tape. The pavement of Main Road is sealed off from Parkhill Road to Longlands Road.
Anyone with relevant information or footage is urged to contact 101, quoting 8536/10APR. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or the charity’s website.
