The parade route will stretch for 9km around Islington giving fans a chance to witness the team
The Arsenal open-top bus parade route has been announced, and fans can expect a host of exciting features. The parade is set to take place on Sunday, May 31, from 2pm.
Arsenal won their first Premier League trophy in 22 years this season and will be displaying it to fans. They are also hoping to have the Champions League trophy alongside it after playing in the final on Saturday, May 30.
The parade is expected to draw in a minimum of 500,000 people, but it is likely to be even more than that. These are the key facts you need to know about how the parade is set to work.
Route details
Arsenal have not confirmed the starting point of the route, but it is likely to be the Emirates Stadium. Access to the stadium is closed to fans, and there won’t be any space to gather around Drayton Park, Hornsey Road, and Benwell Road, as you will not be able to see the team from those locations.
Starting at 2pm, the route stretches for 9km, going up Holloway Road, around Seven Sisters, through Blackstock Road onto Newington Green, then all the way down Essex Road before turning right at Angel station onto Upper Street.
The route does not pass by the stadium. The bus will not stop anywhere for a traditional trophy lift, as has been the case in the previous parades. The buses will be moving continuously. Arsenal have encouraged fans to spread themselves along the route and to arrive early.
What to expect
There will be four open-top buses driving along. A team full of the Arsenal first team, a second bus full of the men’s team staff, then a women’s team bus with the Fifa Women’s Champions Cup. The final bus will be full of supporters from Community programmes and a selection of staff. There will be DJs and special guests on the buses.
Road closures
Road closures are expected to come into effect from approximately 4am on Sunday, May 31, until approximately 8pm, although this may be later depending on what is safe to do at the time.
All roads, including side roads and along the route, will be subject to temporary closures and parking suspensions. A full list of closures can be found on the Islington Council website.

All supporters are encouraged to check Transport for London and the National Rail website for updates and delays. For full details, visit Arsenal’s FAQ.
