Police are urging witnesses to come forward
Police have arrested two men after reports of a stabbing on a residential street in Notting Hill yesterday evening (May 27). The pair, aged 27 and 30, remain in custody on suspicion of affray.
Officers attended Silchester Road, opposite Kensington Leisure Centre, at around 6.45pm following concerning calls to 999, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement. Paramedics treated the two injured suspects before taken them to hospital.
Their condition is not life-threatening or life-changing, the force added. Both men have since been discharged.
An investigation into the circumstances is underway and witnesses are urged to come forward to help with ongoing enquiries. Officers sealed off the adjacent Clarendon Road whilst the scene was secured.
A long trail of blood was seen leading to a building on the street, according to witnesses.
The London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 6.47pm on Wednesday 27 May to reports of a stabbing on Bomore Road, W11. We sent resources including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two patients at the scene and took them to hospital.”
The stabbing came less than 24 hours after a man was knifed in front of shocked diners on Portobello Road.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 7460/27MAY.
