A West London woman has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice after the body of a man was found in the back of a van in Leicester.
The man was found in the back of a van in Garden Street, at 5.30pm on Wednesday, May 27. The victim is believed to be a man in his 30s, the London force said, and work is ongoing to identify him and inform his next of kin.
The van was registered to a home in Hounslow, West London. Harinder Kaur, 39, of Sutton Dene, Hounslow, was charged earlier today (Tuesday, June 2). She will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court later today.
Police are yet to identify the victim, and are working to tell his family. Anyone with relevant information, particularly doorbell or dashcam footage that may have caught a white Ford Transit with the number plate BF18 VNV travelling to Leicester from London, is asked to contact police via 101, quoting 9873/28MAY.
