Meghan Markle shared a rare Father’s Day photo of Prince Harry with their children Archie and Lilibet on Instagram, and fans of the Duke of Sussex were all saying the same thing after seeing it
Meghan Markle has shared a rare, previously unseen photograph of Prince Harry embracing their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on her Instagram account to celebrate this year’s Father’s Day, which fell on Sunday (June 21). The candid snap shows Prince Harry, 41, kneeling on the ground while holding seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet in a tight embrace, beaming towards the camera with a wide grin.
In the photograph, Archie can be seen sporting a red and white England football shirt with dark blue shorts, as the team compete in the World Cup tournament, while Lilibet is dressed in a pink top and white shorts, and is carrying a soft giraffe toy backpack.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, affectionately captioned the post: “They’re so lucky to have you. We all are. Happy Father’s Day to our one and only.”
Although comments were disabled on the post, devoted fans of the family took to Reddit to share their thoughts, with many remarking on the very same thing – just how genuinely joyful Prince Harry appeared.
One user observed: “Now that’s a genuine smile.”
While another concurred: “A smile that reaches his eyes!”
A third added: “Beautiful and so genuine.”
A fourth wrote: “A glimpse into a happy life! Love that Harry and Meghan don’t dress their children up like props. Happy Father’s Day Harry!”
Yet another fan chipped in: “They look like normal kids, wearing normal clothes that do normal things. Genuinely really happy for Harry and the life he now has.”
The post comes as a photograph of Prince William was also shared on the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account to celebrate Father’s Day and his 44th birthday.
The image showed Prince William posing alongside his 11 year old daughter, Princess Charlotte.
In contrast to Harry’s laid-back snapshot, Prince William was dressed in his formal Welsh Guards uniform, while Princess Charlotte looked elegant in a crisp white dress.
The photograph, captured by photographer Matt Porteous in the grounds of Kensington Palace, was taken following the family’s appearance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
The post featured a heartfelt, personal message written from the perspective of his wife and three children, reading: “Happy birthday and Father’s Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much.”
