The fifth night of the Together, Together residency is set to be the hottest show in town – literally
Wembley Stadium is relaxing its water bottle policy for Harry Styles gigs due to the extreme heatwave. Temperatures are forecast to reach 35C as music lovers descend for the fifth night of the Together, Together tour in London.
With health concerns swirling, fans had hoped the strict rules surrounding liquids would be reconsidered. Now, Wembley has confirmed empty 500ml metal or hard plastic bottles will be allowed inside the stadium.
Previously only clear plastic bottles without lids were permitted, with standing areas told to decant water into cups. Bottles can be filled at one several water stations located inside and on the concourse.
Additionally, bottled water will be sold at bars for half price, a decision that some fans have dubbed ‘disgraceful’. One X user said: “Don’t they know how insane that is? Water is a basic thing to keep you alive, especially in a pit of thousands of people!”
Another added: “Water should be free and water bottles should always be allowed to be brought in not just this week.”
Wembley is urging attendees to take regular breaks in shaded areas and wear sun cream. Free sun cream will be handed out at the stadium’s various information points.
Fans have also been encouraged not to arrive too early to avoid waiting outside in the sun. Queues of people attempting to get barricade have previously formed overnight.
The additional safety advice issued includes wearing breathable clothing, limiting alcohol consumption and travelling light. This it to prevent people becoming exhausting and passing out.
Harry has already been forced to bring one of his residency shows to a halt mid-song as event security staff came rushing in to help. The former One Direction star paused his performance of Taste Back to intervene when a fan appeared to be in distress.
Footage of the incident, which was shared on TikTok, showed Harry asking a member of the audience, “What’s that? You can’t find your sister?” He then said, “What’s your sister’s name?”.
The singer appeared to communicate with staff, who swiftly came to assist. One member of the security team wearing a hi-vis vest was spotted sprinting towards the fan.
The Together, Together tour marks the release of Harry’s latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, with Wembley serving as the second stop following a triumphant run at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. His 12-night residency marks the longest single-artist run in the stadium’s history, eclipsing the achievements of Coldplay and Taylor Swift.
