Metropolitan Police officers are investigating with a crime scene in place on Coldharbour Lane
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after a late-night stabbing on a busy street in Hayes. He was knifed on Coldharbour Lane shortly before 1.30am today (Saturday, June 27).
His injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement released this afternoon. No arrests have been made in connection and enquiries are ongoing, the force added.
A cordon remains in place between Pump Lane and Minet Drive, with blood reportedly seen on The Botwell Inn pub. Red-and-white tape is also blocking off alleyway access from Glebe Road.
Traffic is now allowed to move freely following an earlier road closure. Bus diversions, which saw the Superloop route re-routed, are also over.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 1:29am on Saturday, June 27 to reports that a man had been stabbed on Coldharbour Lane, Hayes. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and provided first aid to a man in his 20s.
“He was taken to hospital, where he remains. His injuries are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
“No arrests have been made at this time. A police cordon remains in place while officers carry out further enquiries.”
