Other Brent areas with significant road closures in July are Willesden, Harlesden and Preston
The Wembley Stadium event season is fully under way, with 34 major music gigs scheduled to take place between June and September. Performances from Harry Styles, My Chemical Romance and Bruno Mars are set to take place throughout July but it will result in road closures in and around Wembley and travel disruption for local residents.
Road closures, both pre and post events, will take place on each of the 12 July days when concerts are being held. Affected roads will shut approximately four hours before the start time, with Wembley Stadium stating that they will reopen again “as early as possible” upon its conclusion.
On Wembley event days, Atlantic Crescent and Pacific Crescent will be fully shut, whilst segments of South Way, Engineers Way, Fulton Road and Rutherford Way will be partially closed. Empire Way, London Road, Ecclestone Place and Wembley Triangle will also be affected post-event.
Elsewhere in Brent, several roads in Willesden will see long-term closures whilst essential water works are carried out. However, roads in Harlesden and Willesden are set to reopen again having been shut for many weeks.
Colin Road and Richmond Avenue in Willesden will reopen towards the end of the month having been closed since June, whilst Oldfield Road in Harlesden will open again having been closed for water works since April. However, Minet Gardens will shut and not reopen again until mid-August.
