Olivia Rodrigo’s new album was only released a month ago, on June 12, 2026. The record, ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love’, is her third studio album, and her first release since 2023’s ‘Guts’.
While the album was already predicted to be a smash hit, it has already surpassed her previous career record by a wide margin. According to Forbes, ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love’ has become a “blockbuster” on the Billboard charts.
The album predictably debuted at number 1 on every chart it was eligible on. But it went on to beat ‘Guts’ in a number of ways.

‘Guts’ hit the top of the charts back in September 2023, making it a hugely successful record release for the (at the time) 20-year-old. However, after one week, it was moved aside; beaten from the top spot by Rod Wave’s ‘Nostalgia’.
This week, ‘You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love’ has no signs of moving from its top spot. Therefore, Olivia Rodrigo is all but guaranteed a second week atop the chart.

Olivia Rodrigo will be playing a slew of shows in the UK in 2027.
What’s more, ‘Guts’ welcomed an enormous 302,000 sales in its first week of release. The third release dwarfed this with a staggering 485,000 sales.
It looks like K-pop band Ateez will take over from Olivia Rodrigo’s record this week, but she’s had a career-best run. And she’s due to celebrate the record in the UK come April 2027.
The star has confirmed a residency at London’s O2 Arena, comprised of 11 shows, beginning on April 5 and running through to May 10, 2027. And for the fans who have not yet got involved, there is still a chance.
