Two South London roads are blocked after a burst water main led to substantial flooding. Tooley Street and Jamaica Road have been shut since 10.30pm on Monday evening (July 21), according to Thames Water.
Three London bus routes – 47, 188, and 381 – have been diverted to avoid the disruption. London Fire Brigade and Thames Water engineers were at the scene overnight to fix the issue that left many households without water.
This supply has now been returned, but residents have been warned that during busier times of day, they may experience low pressure. Both Tooley Street and Jamaica Road will be closed while engineers continue repairs.
