It’s getting easier and easier to build out a security system for your home or office, especially when the price of the equipment is so cheap. You can always build your own, or just buy something off the shelf for easy setup. If you’re in the latter category, this Blink Mini camera is going to be just the thing, with a 1080p sensor, night vision, two-way communication, and a $10 price tag.
What’s great about the Blink Mini?
This small camera is built to work indoors and is powered using a USB cable that attaches to a power adapter. It produces clear images during the day and night, and you can communicate with folks on the other side if needed.
The camera also has motion detection, so you’ll get a notification the moment something moves in the area that you’re monitoring. It can capture clips up to 60 seconds long and will upload them to the cloud for review automatically.
You can purchase a separate device if you want to record your files locally. But for most people, cloud recording should be more than enough. With that said, there are plans that you can pay for to get additional features. Blink subscriptions start at $3.99/month.
