A 54-year-old man will appear in court later today
A man has been charged with murder after a 31-year-old woman fell to her death in Southwark. Mohammed Sherif, 54, is accused of killing Kerry Ann Goodbrand on Rowcross Street on Friday, August 21.
Emergency services were called to the Old Kent Road area at 2.50pm to reports that a woman had fallen from height. Kerry died from her injuries at the scene.
Sherif, of Rowcross Street, was charged with her murder this morning (August 25) and will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today. The Metropolitan Police is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward as soon as possible.
Detective Chief Superintendent Emma Bond, who leads policing in the area, said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
“Officers are working diligently to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death and members of the community will see an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are conducted locally.
“If you have any concerns, or any information which may be able to assist, please speak to an officer or contact us.”
Kerry’s next-of-kin continue to be supported by specialist officers, the force added.
