Police would like to speak to this man as they believe he could have information

06:53, 28 Aug 2026Updated 06:59, 28 Aug 2026

Police believe this man could help with their investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted on board an Elizabeth line train.

On Tuesday, August 18, the woman boarded the train at Tottenham Court Road station in Central London towards Maidenhead at around 6pm.

As the train left Bond Street, she was sexually assaulted by a man while in the carriage.

Officers believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their enquiries. The man pictured has dark hair and appears to be of Asian background.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to text BTP on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 648 of 18 August.

Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Where to get help after a sexual offence

If you’ve been sexually assaulted it’s important to remember that it was not your fault. Sexual violence is a crime, no matter who commits it or where it happens. Don’t be afraid to get help.

If you have been a victim of sexual assault or rape or you have information about an offender, you can contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency – there are specially trained officers who will listen and investigate where needed.

Further information, including details of agencies and charities that can offer support can be found on the Met Police website.
