A person has died after a “casualty” on the track incident at an East London Tube station.
The incident caused significant disruption to the Central Line after it was first reported at 4pm on Saturday, August 29.
British Transport Police have confirmed that they attended Mile End Underground station with paramedics, a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 4pm on Saturday, 29 August, to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Mile End Underground station.
“Officers responded with paramedics, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
