ITV has confirmed that the new series of Big Brother will launch on Sunday 13 September at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with AJ Odudu and Will Best returning to host.
The new run will see a fresh group of strangers move into the famous Big Brother house. This year the show has been reimagined as a “house of surprises”, promising unexpected twists and game-changing moments designed to keep housemates on their toes.
Across an extended run of episodes, viewers can expect ambitious tasks, high-stakes nominations and dramatic live evictions as housemates face challenges in their bid to outlast their rivals. As ever, the winner, who takes home a life-changing cash prize, will be decided by the public vote.
The last civilian run of the show ended in November 2025, when Richard Storry became the show’s oldest winner at 60, following Ali Bromley’s victory the year before.
Fans wanting even more will be served by companion show Big Brother: The Group Chat, which will air Sunday to Thursday nights straight after the main programme. Hosted by Kate Lawler, a former Big Brother winner herself, and GK Barry, it’ll bring viewers closer to the personalities, dynamics and relationships at the heart of the series.
The Group Chat will feature exclusive interviews with evicted housemates, celebrity fans and special guests, alongside strong opinions and the inside scoop from those who know the house best. It will air on ITV2, ITVX and YouTube, with episodes also available across major podcast platforms.
Odudu and Best have fronted the revived Big Brother since it returned to screens under the ITV banner, and both continue in the roles for the new run, with Best also set to compete on Strictly Come Dancing 2026.
The Big Brother brand has proved a strong performer for the broadcaster, racking up more than 157 million streams on ITVX. So, it’s safe to say that many will be waiting to see what’s to come in the new instalment – with, we’re sure, plenty of drama to come.
Big Brother is on ITV2 at 9pm on Sunday 13 September, and will be available to stream on ITVX. It is also available to watch on Sky TV, where you can sign up from £15 a month.
