More than 400 exclusive tote bags were given out to the eager shoppers waiting at the doors of M&S
Hundreds of people queued to be the first in a newly transformed M&S in Clapham Junction.
The store reopened its doors after a seven-week transformation, bringing 500 new products to its shelves.
The St. John’s Road store has unveiled a range of new features since the 7.30am reopening on Wednesday, September 2, including a new ATM and a click & collect point for online fashion, home, and beauty orders.
Inside the newly transformed store, customers will find a range of new products, including brand-new gingerbread & white chocolate cookies, a full organic range, and a larger in-store bakery.
According to M&S, hundreds of eager shoppers waited for the ribbon-cutting on the first morning, with the first 400 customers receiving an “exclusive tote bag.”
M&S Clapham Junction is one of six stores M&S is transforming across London this financial year, alongside four new stores opening in the next few months, including one in Bell Green, Sydenham, and another in Elephant & Castle.
Chris Thomas, Store Manager at M&S Clapham Junction, said: “The atmosphere this morning has been amazing and what a welcome back from the community.
“We’re so grateful to all our customers for their patience while work has taken place and it’s fantastic that everyone is loving the new products we now have.
“Whether looking to grab a coffee, browsing our new Halloween range or doing your weekly shop, we really do have something for everyone and it’s brilliant to be back.”
