A man was floored after spotting a top music celebrity standing just a few feet away from him in the crowd of the Hilary Duff concert at London’s O2 Arena this week
A man was astonished at Hilary Duff’s concert at the O2 when he spotted another star standing just a few feet away from him in the crowd.
Hilary performed her first show of The Lucky Me Tour at the London O2 on Thursday, September 10. This is the pop star’s first global headline tour in almost two decades and is in support of her sixth studio album, Luck… Or Something, which was released back in February – her first album since 2015.
And it seems fans were excited, as thousands gathered at the arena in Greenwich to watch the first of two shows, with the second scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, following shows in Manchester and Glasgow on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Among them was a man called Berni, who was amazed to spot another pop star in attendance, standing just a few rows away from him.
Taking to TikTok, Berni went on to share snippets he took after spotting Mollie King, who rose to fame as a member of The Saturdays, and now also works as a radio presenter for the BBC.
“Look who I found at Hillary Duff’s concert in London,” Berni wrote in the overlay text of the video, as he showed the star standing in the stands. “Miss Mollie King from The Saturdays.”
Mollie donned an oversized leather jacket tied around her waist, and left her long blond hair down.
During the concert she took the jacket off to reveal a fitted black t-shirt with matching black bottoms.
Mollie had interviewed Hilary on BBC Radio 1 earlier that same day, where the pop star opened up about her 10-year hiatus from music. She said: “I do have four kids, I’ve been doing that.”
On top of prioritising being a parent to her four kids, a son and three daughters, she has also focused on her acting career, starring as the lead in sitcoms How I Met Your Father between 2022-2023 as well as Younger from 2015-2021.
She said: “I just wasn’t ready and I was kind of more focused on filming things and that felt a little safer in the moment that I was going through in my life to kind of play in someone else’s sandbox and not be so forward-facing with what I’m talking about.”
She added: “And after I had my youngest [in 2024], I just felt really ready to make a pop record.”
Hilary has been in showbusiness for more than 30 years, debuting as a child actor in the 90s, and getting her big break as the title character in the Dinsey Channel series Lizzie McGuire, which ran from 2001 to 2004.
