The crash happened on a 105 bus which was travelling from Heathrow to Greenford
A recovery operation has been launched on the A40 Westway after a London bus veered off the A40 Westway during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, September 15). The 105 route bus was travelling from Heathrow to Greenford when it crashed into some bushes near the junction of Long Drive in Northolt at 1.15am.
Transport for London confirmed minor injuries were reported in the incident, but has not shared any further information. One lane is closed on the A40, leading to rush-hour delays, but this closure was already in place due to an earlier bus fire in June. Traffic has since returned to normal.
A TfL spokesperson said: “We have support available for anyone who has been affected by the incident involving a route 105 bus on the A40 this morning, where minor injuries were reported.
“We are determined to ensure London’s bus network is safe for everyone and we are working with the operator, First Bus, to establish what happened.”
