Bromley Council has published its Planned Highway Maintenance Programme for 2026/27 to sort out potholes and carry out major repairs
Bromley Council has revealed which roads it will be resurfacing over the next year.
The South East London authority looks after 547 miles of roads and 885 miles of footways throughout London’s largest borough.
Bromley has published its Planned Highway Maintenance Programme for 2026/27 which details which roads it will be carrying out planning maintenance on including resurfacing and reconstructing over the next 10 months.
The council’s latest highway condition survey identified that 17 per cent of the borough’s roads should be considered for planned maintenance. This would cost the cash-strapped authority over £30m.
This year’s programme will cost Bromley Council £2.25m of its own capital funds, with an additional £3.77m coming from the Department for Transport to aid the works.
