Food influencer Carmie Sellitto has built a large Instagram following by sampling some of the priciest dishes around and in one of his most recent reels, he claimed to have found London’s best sandwich
Most of us are perfectly happy grabbing a sandwich from home or splashing out roughly £4 on a supermarket meal deal. Yet one social media influencer has revealed how he parted with £14 on Harrods’ viral wrap to determine whether it lived up to the hype. Carmie Sellitto, who goes by @touchdalight on Instagram, has built a following by sampling some of the priciest dishes the world has to offer and delivering his verdict. In one of his most recent reels, he put the Harrods Buttermilk Chicken Mac and Cheese Wrap through its paces.
The wrap shot to viral fame after the store’s Rotisserie section reopened in April 2026. Initially priced at approximately £12, it has since been bumped up to £14.
Located within the Rotisserie section of the Harrods Food Halls, the wrap boasts buttermilk fried chicken, truffle mac and cheese, house-made coleslaw, lettuce, and a blend of garlic aioli and other sauces.
Across platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, reviewers consistently award it top marks (9/10 or 10/10), dubbing it a “benchmark for taste” despite the price hike.
Sharing his thoughts with followers, Carmie is heard saying: “I just picked up the new viral Harrods sandwich. It cost me £14, so let’s head to my car and see if it’s worth it.”
He then enthused: “It’s so juicy. It kind of feels like I haven’t eaten in days by the way I’ve just demolished half of this sandwich, but the chicken is so crispy, the mac and cheese is perfect, and the coleslaw is so crunchy.
“I genuinely think you can not get a better sandwich in London than this one.”
Awarding his verdict, he declared he was “gonna be so real” and give it a 10/10, confessing he was “literally in love” with the sandwich.
The post proved an enormous hit, accumulating more than 6,000 likes.
One person wrote: “Mmm that sandwich looks so good! If I lived in London I’d run right out and buy one!”
Another commented: “The size of that wrap, it’s like an entire shopping basket in a wrap.”
A third chimed in: “It is lovely, had it many times.”
While someone else tagged a friend, and wrote: “I’m getting this when we are up there.”
While the £14 chicken sandwich is currently all the rage, Harrods is widely celebrated for its sandwiches across various price ranges.
The iconic luxury retailer’s “most expensive” offering is the widely talked-about £28 Wagyu Beef Sandwich. It comprises Wagyu fillet, porcini and truffle butter, gold mustard mayo, mushrooms, and beer-braised onions on sourdough.
Harrods Burgers also features an £18 Signature Club burger, boasting roasted chicken breast, crispy bacon, avocado, and egg, accompanied by crisps.
Despite these heftier price tags, Harrods equally caters to those watching their pennies, with £8–£10 “budget” alternatives, including its Prawn Cocktail sandwich (£8) and Chicken Katsu Sando (£10), frequently hailed as the finest value-for-money choices in the Food Hall.
