It’s not looking good for the start of the World Cup
Rainy weather is set to return to London in June following the upcoming blistering heatwave this bank holiday weekend, according to The Met Office. Although the forecaster’s day-by-day forecast doesn’t stretch to mid-June, it’s long range forecast runs from June 3 to June 17.
It says ‘as we head towards mid-June, more mixed conditions are likely with spells of rain and showers.’ This will not be what most of us, hoping for a warm summer, wanted to hear, especially as we’ll be wanting to flock to pub gardens to watch England during the World Cup.
But the forecast does also clarify that ‘drier weather is expected between any bouts of wetter weather,’ so it’s not completely doom-and-gloom. But until then, it should be good weather.
Friday, May 22, is set to be 27C, with Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, set to be a boiling 30C. Monday, May 25, will also be a sweltering 29C.
