Finding the right makeup products for your skin tone and complexion can be a lengthy, expensive and often frustrating process. It usually involves plenty of trial and error, not to mention a lot of patience. Most of us have experienced the disappointment of buying a foundation that turns out to be too orange, too dark or far too pale, leaving us looking washed out. The challenge is even greater when shopping online, despite the growing number of shade-matching tools available.

That’s why nothing quite compares to having your shade matched in person by beauty experts. However, a visit to a beauty counter doesn’t always guarantee a positive experience. Sometimes shoppers leave feeling overwhelmed, confused and with significantly lighter wallets than when they arrived.

Now, cult-favourite Irish beauty brand Sculpted by Aimee is aiming to change that with its Beauty Service Station pop-up, where shoppers can receive a complimentary shade match tailored to their skin. Following the success of its Dublin event, the pop-up will arrive in Covent Garden, London, on 19 and 20 June from 10am to 5pm.

Dubbed the Sculpted Service Station Experience, the event will offer free shade matching in seconds, SPF top-ups, exclusive merchandise and the chance to win prizes – making it the perfect beauty pit stop ahead of summer. Perfect for anyone refreshing their makeup bag ahead of a holiday, wedding or summer heatwave, the pop-up is designed to be the ultimate beauty pit stop.

With a focus on creating the perfect base, visitors can discover their ideal formula and shade with expert guidance, while exploring some of the brand’s bestselling products, including HydraTint, Cream Cushion, Brighten Up Concealer and Beauty Base. While the event is free to attend, beauty enthusiasts are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot.

Sculpted By Aimee’s Beauty Service Station offers express shade matching, summer merch, the perfect base formula, prizes and more. Shoppers can then purchase their products.

While attending the event is free, beauty fans wanting to ensure they get in will need to register here. Plus, exclusive Sculpted merch will be available across both days for the first 200 attendees, on a first come, first served basis at 10am time slot only. Shoppers wanting to then buy their ideal shade can do so on the day.

Available for shade matching at the event is the brand’s HydraTint Moisturising Tinted Serum, which is one of the brand’s best-selling products. With a lightweight formula consisting of 90% skincare ingredients, it gives a sheer hint of tint while deeply hydrating the skin. Coming in 20 different shades, varying in undertone, the product also comes with factor 20 SPF.

It’s hailed for evening out skintone while delivering a natural and soft radiance that leaves skin looking healthy and smooth – perfect for those who love that ‘no makeup, makeup’ look. The brand says: “Think of it as your morning serum and favourite base in one”, and adds how its an easy routine for busy people: “From school runs and meetings to gym classes and summery brunch dates, HydraTint melts in for effortlessly smooth, subtly radiant skin.”

Boasting an impressive 4.8-star rating and viral popularity among beauty lovers, the product has earned glowing reviews for its lightweight, skin-enhancing formula. Shoppers have praised how effortlessly it glides onto the skin, creating a smooth, natural-looking finish without settling into fine lines or wrinkles.

One delighted customer wrote: “Love this product. It glides on the skin, does not settle in fine lines and leaves my skin looking smooth and healthy.” Others have described the formula as “absolutely beautiful”, crediting it with delivering a fresh, radiant complexion that lasts throughout the day.

Someone else remarked: “Loving this product. Feels so light on my skin yet looks like I’ve make-up on without feeling I’ve makeup on.” Although some people reported how their redness still shone through and dry patches weren’t marred. One review read: “This product is light coverage and easy to apply. Feels very light on the skin. It doesn’t cover redness and clings to dry patches on skin. Doesn’t last on skin.”

That said, another happy customer added: “Absolutely beautiful, melts into your skin. Not cakey or heavy, leaves a lovely glow to the skin.”

The HydraTint rivals the likes of L’Oreal Paris’s True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum, £14.99, which similarly offers sheer, lightweight coverage whilst hydrating and nourishing the skin and has previously been a go-to for Molly-Mae Hague. For a similar sheer-to-light coverage formula, Charlotte Tilbury’s Unreal Skin Foundation Stick, £37, blurs and smooths skin for a ‘soft-focus skin glow’. Shoppers can also use the Charlotte Tilbury online shade matching tool to find their perfect match.

Sculpted By Aimee’s Cream Cushion Foundation is another winning formula that went viral for its K-beauty-influenced formulation that ingeniously blends silky, stretch-fit polymers with a fine mesh applicator to provide buildable yet breathable coverage. Beauty fans who have used this creamy foundation have shared how it garners compliments, with one review reading: “I love it so much like skin care. Everyone complimenting me about my skin.”

Someone else remarked: “Absolutely love this foundation. It’s creamy and doesn’t sit in any fine lines or wrinkles, the coverage is buildable and my looks so healthy and hydrated with it. My new favourite thing!”

Although for some people, they weren’t able to find their perfect shade using the shade match tool and said: “Pleasantly surprised! This is the best cushion foundation I’ve tried so far. I’ll probably get a lighter shade as the one picked is a bit darker than expected.”

Although one solution to that is attending the Sculpted By Aimee Beauty Service Station, where ticketholders can find their perfect match for free. Find out more on the event, which takes place in London’s Covent Garden June 19 and 20 here.
