Birgit has dementia so may appear confused if you see her
A desperate search is underway to find a German tourist who went missing in the City of London. Birgit speaks no English and has dementia.
Birgit, aged 69, went missing from the Minories Pub in Tower Hill at around 5:45pm on Friday (July 3) and was last seen on CCTV at 6:25pm on Middlesex Street near The Astronomer pub heading towards Bishopsgate.
In the photo shared by the City of London police she was pictured wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeved striped shirt with white, red and blue stripes. She is white, with blonde hair. The photo was taken on Friday – the day she went missing – and the only difference is she was not carrying the bag when she disappeared.
Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Birgit’s welfare and urgently want to speak to anybody who has seen her at any time this evening. If you can help, call 999 quoting CAD 7067.
