The brawl included the use of weapons
A man from London has been banged up for his role in a weapon-riddled brawl which left someone with ‘serious injuries.’ The fight happened in Southend, Essex, about about 5.30pm on February 8 last year.
Mohammed Fatah, 29, of London, Kisrape Karime, 26, of Southend, and Ali Maulood, 37, of Westccliff, were arrested on March 12 and charged.
Fatah and Karime admitted GBH with intent while Maulood admitted affray. At the same court on 24 July, Karime was sentenced to two years and six months, Fatah received two years and nine months, and Maulood, was given a year and two months.
At Basildon Crown Court on June 19, Karime and Fatah admitted GBH with intent while Maulood admitted affray.
At the same court on July 24, Fatah was sent down for two years and nine months, Karime was sentenced to two years and six months, while Maulood, was given a year and two months.
‘Completely unacceptable’
Investigating officer Detective Constable Ryan Gibbs said: “This incident happened in a public place at a time when a lot of people would have been around. This type of incident is completely unacceptable and we will not tolerate it.
“I am pleased our investigation has held these three men accountable and they have faced justice.”
