Love Island’s newest Islander Jasmine Muller is a familiar face to fashion and football fans
Brand new Islander Jasmine Muller has opened up about her split from footballer ex Hector Bellerin.
The fashion entrepreneur is set to make her entrance into the ITV villa on Monday (June 1), though this won’t be her first brush with fame. She already boasts a sizeable following, with over 150,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok.
Jasmine has also enjoyed WAG status having previously dated former Arsenal star Hector. The pair are thought to have been an item in 2021, and fans have been unearthing loved-up snaps of the couple ahead of Jasmine’s villa appearance.
While the finer details of their romance remain unclear, Jasmine insists the two parted ways on “really good terms”.
Reflecting on her split from the sports star, she told MyLondon and other publications: “I have a lot of time for him. I think we left things on really good terms,” reports OK!.
“There’s not really any drama or anything interesting to say about it because we both just have a lot of love for each other. And I’m really excited to hopefully find something again, and something really exciting and honest.”
The former couple even continue to follow one another on Instagram, despite going their separate ways “a long time ago”.
When quizzed on whether her experience of dating a celebrity has primed her for finding love on national television, Jasmine acknowledged it is just one of several factors that have readied her for life under the public gaze.
She elaborated: “It’s [relationship with Hector] so long ago now that I don’t think about it on a day-to-day basis, but I’m sure that having lived that at such a young age has obviously prepared me. As have other things, I’ve been in the public eye with an online job since I was like 19.
“So it’s been a while of doing a public facing job, I guess. I don’t know if that’s the right way to put it, but I think I feel prepared and I feel like I know that people like to talk and it doesn’t really bother me too much.”
Jasmine is not the only 2026 Islander with notable connections, as this series also includes a 21-year-old with ties to a prominent political family.
Love Island Series 13 beings at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX on June 1.
